Answers about how Droidex tracks your Star Wars: Droid Tycoon collection, how rebirth requirements and Super Rebirths work, and what Flawless and the collection bonus mean in the game.
◈ What is Droidex?
Droidex is a free, open-source collection tracker for Star Wars: Droid Tycoon, the Fortnite creative mode released by FOAD/Blzn Studios on May 1st, 2026. The game gives no way to check what you already own while standing at the in-game Sandcrawler shop, so Droidex fills that gap: it tracks all 69 droids across their variants, tells you which specific droids and variants you still need for your targeted rebirth, and which ones you can safely retire from your base. It works as an installable, offline-capable Progressive Web App.
◈ How do I track variants (3 states)?
Each droid variant in Droidex cycles through three states with a single tap: never owned, owned in your Droidex (the in-game collection log), and physically placed in your base. Most droids come in seven variants — Basic, Gold, Diamond, Rainbow, Beskar, Galactic and Stellar — so you tap through each variant independently as you obtain and place copies. A handful of Iconic droids have no variants; instead they get two separate toggles, one for ownership and one for being placed in your base.
◈ Does a higher variant satisfy a lower requirement?
Yes. Rebirth requirements are expressed as a minimum variant — for example "Strike-Orb (Gold minimum)". Owning or placing a higher variant of that droid always satisfies a lower requirement, so a Diamond Strike-Orb in your base counts for a Gold requirement just as well as an actual Gold copy would. You never need to hunt down a lesser copy of a droid you already own in a better variant: Droidex checks your best owned variant against each requirement automatically.
◈ What are rebirth requirements?
Each rebirth level, from 1 to 35, requires three specific droids placed in your base at a minimum variant, plus a credit cost that climbs from 10K at rebirth 1 up to 778T at rebirth 35. The 35 levels repeat across 5 cycles in a loop, and each cycle can ask for a different trio of droids at the same level even though the credit cost stays identical across cycles. Certain rebirth levels also unlock a new slot for your base, such as an extra Worker or Astromech slot.
◈ What is the Galactic variant and how does it work?
Galactic is the sixth variant tier, added above Beskar in the mid-July 2026 game update (the Stellar tier sits above it since the August 15, 2026 update). Since the Stellar update the in-game Droidex counts all seven variants in one unified total, 562 with the fusion droids and D-O, and Droidex mirrors that. Rebirth 28 — the first Galactic-gated level in each cycle — requires one specific Galactic droid placed in your base (for example a Galactic Proto-Roller in cycle 1) alongside a Rainbow droid, a Beskar droid and 45T credits. Like every higher variant, a Galactic copy also satisfies any lower requirement for the same droid. Galactic income values are now documented for all 62 standard droids, and community sources report Galactic droids appearing in-game on an hourly spawn timer; Droidex tracks each Galactic copy with the same tap-through states (owned, in base) and shows RB·GLC requirement badges so you know exactly which Galactic droids your next rebirth needs.
◈ What is the Stellar variant and how do I get Stellar droids?
Stellar is the newest and seventh variant tier, added above Galactic in the Stellar update of August 15, 2026 (game patch v1.26). Stellar droids spawn at the Sandcrawler on their own timer and are recorded in the in-game Droidex; dedicated Stellar Astromech missions costing 6T credits and the Stellar Surge from the Cantina Shop are further sources. The same update added rebirth levels 31 to 35 and a fifth rebirth cycle: rebirth 31 is the first level to require Stellar-tier droids in your base, with credit costs climbing from 150T at rebirth 31 to 778T at rebirth 35. The in-game Droidex counts Stellar copies in its unified variant total (562 with the fusion droids and D-O), and Droidex does the same, with RB·STL requirement badges; a Stellar copy satisfies any lower variant requirement for the same droid. Stellar income values are documented for nearly every standard droid and are completed at every data refresh.
◈ What is Droid Fusion and how do I get fusion droids like WHL-EX or X-ONK?
Droid Fusion is a mechanic added by game patch v1.27 on August 22, 2026, unlocked from rebirth 3. At the Fusion lab in your base you combine three crafted droids; the exact recipe determines the result — two Mouse plus one ARG make a WHL-EX, for example — and the fused droid keeps the lowest variant used (two Gold and one Stellar give a Gold copy). Seventeen droids can only be obtained this way: WHL-EX, ZRO-TEC and BTL-R (Rare), N-UL, SCRP-R, ARM-CORE and OPT-AR (Epic), RO-TOR, FUS-3, QIK-BIT and ORB-XL (Legendary), plus RIV-3T, LUG-G, LOW-MO, AXI-POD, SRV-O and X-ONK (Mythic). All seventeen count in the in-game Droidex — the unified total is now 562 variants — and Droidex tracks each one like any other droid, with its income, costs and the exact three-droid recipe shown on its card. Fusing three identical droids upgrades the variant instead (three Basic Mouse give one Gold Mouse), and three random droids of the same rarity yield a random droid of the rarity above. The D-O event of August 29, 2026 (patch v1.28) also added D-O, the ninth Iconic droid, whose perk halves fusion time.
◈ What is a Super Rebirth and what do you keep or lose?
From rebirth level 12 onward, once your requirements are met you can trigger a Super Rebirth instead of a normal one, which advances you straight into the next cycle. You keep your Droidex, droidsmith level, cosmetics, unlocked Flawless droids, Nova crystals, and any Iconic droid unlocks. You lose your base layout, the droids currently placed in it, your currencies, your rebirth rank, your pickaxe level, and any blueprints — Iconic unlocks can be bought back at the Nova crystal shop afterward.
◈ What is Flawless?
Flawless is a shiny cosmetic paint rolled once, at the moment a droid finishes crafting, and kept forever in your Droidex. The odds depend only on the variant you crafted, never on the droid's rarity — a Mythic droid is no more likely to roll Flawless than a Common one at the same variant. Base odds are 1 in 1000 for Basic, 1 in 500 for Gold, 1 in 250 for Diamond, 1 in 125 for Rainbow, 1 in 100 for Beskar and 1 in 75 for Galactic. Two multipliers stack on top: the Flawless Charm from the Nova Shop (500 Nova crystals) doubles your chance, and events double it as well — running both during an event is the fastest way to fill the Flawless column. Each unique Flawless droid also grants a small permanent income multiplier, with a further reward once 51 unique Flawless droids are collected. Iconic droids cannot roll Flawless, since they are never crafted. Droidex lets you mark each droid's Flawless status with a ✦ toggle so you can track which ones you have already unlocked without relying on memory.
◈ How do I get Galactic droids?
Galactic droids have several sources, all added over the July 2026 updates. A Galactic timer above the Sandcrawler spawns Galactic blueprints on its own cycle, the same way the Beskar timer does. Galactic blueprints can also be earned from Fishing, which is how the tier was first introduced. Since the Cantina Shop update, Astromech Missions include dedicated Galactic missions that reward credits, Beskar droids and Galactic droids, making them the most reliable source once you can afford them. Finally, a Rainbow or Beskar droid can be upgraded with Upgrade Chips, and the cost of higher-tier upgrades was significantly reduced in that same update. Droidex tracks every Galactic copy separately, so you can see at a glance which ones your next rebirth still needs.
◈ What is the collection bonus?
The collection bonus rewards broad collecting: for every distinct droid you own, regardless of which variant, your income increases by 1%. It stacks across your entire Droidex, so owning 40 different droids — even all at Basic variant — grants a flat +40% income bonus on top of your normal rebirth and variant progression. Droidex displays your current distinct-droid count and the resulting bonus percentage in the header, updating live as you tap through your registry.
◈ Is Droidex free? Does it need an account?
Droidex is completely free, has no ads and no tracking. It works fully without an account: your registry is saved locally in your browser and never leaves your device. Creating an optional account via Google sign-in lets you sync that same registry across multiple devices; in that case only your email address and your registry data are stored on the server, and both can be deleted at any time from the app with the "Delete my account" button.
◈ Can I self-host it?
Yes. Droidex's source code is open under the MIT license on GitHub, and the whole project is designed to be self-hostable: the tracker itself is a static site with no build step, and the optional sync backend runs on PocketBase, deployable via the provided Docker and Traefik configuration. Anyone can fork the repository, point it at their own domain, and run their own independent copy with their own sync server if they prefer not to rely on the official droidex.nackz.dev instance.
